To launch 2006, Hip Hop Reaction has teamed up with Cornerstone promotion and FADER films to present a fantastic contest to celebrate the release of the latest indie film release, 'On The Outs'.
There will be 3 winners, who will each receive a prize pack consisting of a signed autographed poster, hat and t-shirt - all of which are based on the film.

FADER Films is pleased to annouce the release of their new film entitled 'On The Outs'
A film by Lori Silverbush and Michael Skolnik, ON THE OUTS is a dramatic narrative feature based upon the real stories of girls from the streets and juvenile jail, who lent their voices and unique stories to the filmmakers. These are girls who struggle with all the highs and lows of teenage life in an inner-city world that makes its own rules.
The film follows the lives of three central characters from the same Jersey City neighborhood: Oz, 17, is a tough drug dealer with her own corner and the street's respect, who struggles to keep her family intact. Suzette, the sheltered 15 year old daughter of a single mother, whose first teenage crush has life changing repercussions, and Marisol, 17, a single mother who fights both her own demons and the uncompromising world of foster care to keep her child.
Youth House Productions, Inc. and Fader Films present ON THE OUTS starring Anny Mariano, Judy Marte, Paola Mendoza, Dominc Colón, Clarence "Don" Hutchinson, Flaco Navaja, Lee Brock, Autumn Collier , Levon Fickling, Kamilah Forbes and Ana "Rok" Garcia. Directed by Lori Silverbush and Michael Skolnik and written by Silverbush. The film is produced by Michael Skolnik and Lori Silverbush.
After a tremendous run at New York City's independent theaters- the IFC and the Film Forum, ON THE OUTS was the highest ranking drama on the weekly per-screen average chart- reported Variety magazine. It has shared the top 10 with Hollywood heavyweights such as Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and Wedding Crashers.
"We are so proud of the entire team that has worked on this project," says Rob Stone, co-president of FADER Films. "This film has continued to perform above our expectations and together with Kindred Media Group and Polychrome we couldn't be more excited for its well-deserved theatrical release."
ON THE OUTS, which was co-directed by Lori Silverbush and Michael Skolnik, debuted at the 2004 Tornonto International Film Festival and has had an impressive year screening film festivals. The film picked up a number of prestigious awards and nominations. ON THE OUTS was the first film in Slamdance Film Festival History to win the Grand Jury Award and the Audience award fo Best Narrative Feature. The film also received Independent Spirit Award nominations for Judy Marte (Best Female Lead) and the John Cassavetes Award (honoring the best feature produced for under $500,000), and an Independent Feature Project Gotham Award nomination for Breakthrough Directors (Silverbush and Skolnik).
