September 20th Hip Hop Singles And Album Charts

Posted on September 15, 2008

Albums

Despite The Game taking top spit last week with LAX, Young Jeezy has stormed the charts on the debut of his new album, The Recession. Lil Wayne slips to third, whilst Ice Cube falls to fourth. Another new entry sees Slim Thug presenting Boss Hogg Outlawz as they serve and collect for a second time. Nas cascades down the chart to seventh, whilst Rock Ross rejoins the top 10, moving up three places from last week's twelfth. Three 6 Mafia are still Last 2 Walk as they hold onto the tenth slot for the third consecutive week.

Singles

After seven weeks on the singles chart, T.I.'s Whatever You Like has slowly began to rise up the charts, and this week is crowned king. Last week's number one, Put It On by Young Jeezy slips to third narrowly eclipsed by that man Lil Wayne. David Banner slips two positions to fourth, whilst LL Cool J rises to tenth from last week's eleventh. Lil Wayne currently has three singles all of which are in the top ten this week, at two, five and eight.
