Nas' new album has caused massive discussions, and is now finally released. Nas is also ready to begin his 21 date tour to support the new album. The tour is set to kick start on July 22nd in Montreal, Canada, a week following the official album release. The tour is being produced by Guerilla Union, which will see Nas attend and perform at various smaller venues across North America to make the shows a little more personal. Talib Kweli will support Nas on his tour along with DJ Green Lantern and Jay Electronica.

Stanley "Flesh N' Bone" Howse, from the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony crew, is now officially a free man after serving a 10 year prison sentence. The rapper, now aged 34, was sentenced to 12 years after threatening a friend with an AK47, but was released 2 years in advance from California Penitentiary on June 13th, where he was greeted by family and friends including his crew members, Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy and Wish Bone. The five members of the crew are now all re-united for the first time in over a decade.

Too Short Faces Losing Recording Studio

Too Short has found himself in some financial difficulty which may lead to the rapper losing a recording studio in Oakland which he recently opened. The rapper, real name Todd Shaw, has been forced to pay $1 million from a settlement agreed on back in the mid-90's where he was involved in a car crash. InsideBayArea reported that Short was involved in a head-on collision, which resulted in the fatal death of James Ellerbee, and also resulted in the driver suffering serious injuries.

Nas, who proclaimed Hip Hop Is Dead, believes that one single person saved rap and prevented the genre becoming extinct. In a recent interview with Complex, Nas said that Kanye West was the man who had saved the rap genre. He also acknowledged Lil Wayne in the same interview.

No surprise to see DMX in the news again, the third time we have reported on the rapper in the last seven days. X seems to have lost self control over the past few weeks and the latest incident resulted in an arrest on June 27th. According to sources, DMX was caught out by uncover police agents posing as drug dealers, and caught him purchasing drugs from the agents. On Wednesday Suge Knight was forced to auction and sell off the entire hip hop label, Death Row Records. TMZ has reported that Global Music Group's president Susan Berg won the auction with a winning bid of $24 million. DMX has found himself in trouble with the law, again due to driving offences. He was arrested yesterday afternoon in Florida for driving without a valid license. Ne-Yo has pleased guilty to driving with out a valid license and also no contest to a charge for reckless driving from an incident back in February when he was arrested. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has revealed that Ne-Yo received 24 hours of community service, a $1,000 fine and a mandatory attendance at a defense driving class. He is expected to perform a concert for the Boys and Girls Club, as part of his community service.
