50 Cent Cleared Of Arson Allegations
Posted on May 5, 2009 by Jamie Slaughter
50 Cent has been cleared of foul play, following an on-going enquiry into a blaze at his $1.4 million mansion back in May 2008 which completely obliterated the house. 50 confirmed the verdict on thisis50.com, as police and insurance investigators had "absolutely no proof or evidence" that 50 sparked the fire. The questioning began after 50's son's mother, Shaniqua Tompkins accused the rapper of committing the offence.
A few weeks before the fire, 50 had negotiated an eviction of both Tompkins, and his son, though when the fire started they were both present, but managed to escape free of any serious injury. This whole situation caused a conflict between 50 and Rick Ross, which saw the emergence of the track Mafia Music, which mocked the arson allegations.
Meanwhile, 50 is working on a release date for his fourth full album, entitled Before I Self Destruct.
