Christopher Clanton From The Wire Found Stabbed

Actor Christopher J. Clanton, who played Savino Bratton in the HBO series "The Wire", was stabbed during a party in Maryland. Clanton was stabbed during a brawl which broke out at the social hall in Overlea Caterers Inc. Police were posted towards the scene and used pepper spray to diffuse the chaos, involving approximately 30 people, the majority getting implicated in physical violence. As the violence faded, police reported that Clanton had in fact been stabbed.

Clanton told the newspapers that "mayhem broke out" and as he was trying to manoeuvre between two other men he was drawn into the violence. Following being taken to hospital by ambulance, he told the paper that he was in good condition, all things considering and is expected to be discharged shortly. Clanton has had a regular role in The Wire appearing in nine episodes in the first and fifth seasons. In the show's last series; Clanton's character was killed by Omar Little who made a living from robbing drug dealers.
