Stanley "Flesh N' Bone" Howse, from the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony crew, is now officially a free man after serving a 10 year prison sentence. The rapper, now aged 34, was sentenced to 12 years after threatening a friend with an AK47, but was released 2 years in advance from California Penitentiary on June 13th, where he was greeted by family and friends including his crew members, Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy and Wish Bone. The five members of the crew are now all re-united for the first time in over a decade.
"It feels amazing, refreshing, exciting [and] I'm so happy for him to finally come home to his family and friends and fans," Bone Thug's longtime manager Steve Lobel told AllHipHop.com. "Flesh is a very great, loving, talented, creative individual. We have a lot of memories together. Hopefully we can have more."
Immediately on leaving the prison, the members went straight to the recording studio to prepare a new album which looks likely to be released on Interscope Records, albeit a joint venture with Swizz Beatz' Full Surface.
The groups last album did not feature Flesh or Bizzy Bone who parted ways with the group, but all 5 members have now got back on track to prepare their new album.
"I know his Bone brothers are so excited he's home and now they can make history again," Lobel said. "They all deserve it. They are amazing and unstoppable together as a team. Thanks to all the fans who wrote to Flesh while he was away and stuck by his side and supported him. I know his brother Layzie [born Steven Howse] couldn't wait for this time to come."
Flesh is also eager to work on his individual album, and will no doubt be on the lookout for a label as soon as possible.
