Jay Z ready to make his comeback
Posted on October 9, 2005
All jay-Z fans will be more than happy to hear that the Def Jam president is determined to come out of retirement and begin work on a brand new album.
Following Jay's retirement in 2003, after the drop of his 'final' album 'The Black Album', Jay admitted to hanging up his microphone and focusing more on behind the scenes work within the company.
Sources at Def Jam are now reportedly statinbg that he isn't happy with this role and that he is considering a come back and even possibly an album to mark this comeback.
A source close to the rapper told the New York Daily News, ?He's looking to get an album out by the beginning of summer. It's on his radar.? He's been talking with [Island Def Jam chairman] Antonio ?LA? Reid about it. The guest spots made him miss recording. He looks around and knows there aren't a lot of people, except maybe Kanye, who can touch him.?
Co-incidently, Jay has just signed CNN's Noreaga to his record company. Nore is apparently getting prepared to release 2 albums under the new label.
