Krs One Injured By Thrown Bottle

Posted on April 21, 2008 by

KRS-One was injured during a performance in New Haven, after a fan threw a bottle at him striking him in the face and his hand. Reports seem to suggest that the individual became upset with security guards following being told to leave the venue, and in a desperate attempt to make his exit known he threw a bottle on stage which hit KRS in the hand and his face. KRS remained as diplomatic as ever, in a successful attempt to calm down the whole situation, stating; "Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go."

KRS was later taken to Yale-New Haven hospital via ambulance, after his hand swelled up severely during his last 15 minutes of performing, leading to dehydration. He was also treated for a fractured hand. KRS announced before he left "Let this be an example as to how we stop the violence."

Ironically, the performance was part of the Stop the violence Tour and has caused KRS to drop some dates in order to recover.

The postponed dates are;

04/21 - Performance at Harper's Ferry, Allston, MA
04/22 - Performance at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, Providence, RI
04/28 & 30 - Community Meetings and Planning, Chicago, IL
