Lil Flip has recently revealed that he is no longer signed to Sony Music Group. The Houston based rapper has confirmed that he has indeed signed a new deal with Asylum Records / Warner Music Group in an effort to free himself from the constant problems between both parties during the deal.

Lil Flip will leave Sony Music with the rights to the master recording of his new album 'I Need Mine' and the move to WMG was very much brought on by prior troubles and disagreements.

Lil Flip's manager believes that the switch will further Flip's career and allow him to achieve his full potential. Leaving with the full rights to the new album is considered a huge bonus and will give them a head start with their new deal.

'I Need Mine' is expected to be released later this year, and no specific date has been scheduled.
