Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park is preparing to release his debut hip hop album under the alias Fort Minor. The album will be entitled 'The rising tied' which will have Mike playing and producing almost every song on the album, which is executively produced by current Def Jam president Jay-Z.
"The Fort Minor record is all about getting back to basics in hip-hop, both sonically and for me personally," Shinoda told Allhiphop. ?And working with Jay-Z again has been phenomenal. We can't wait for people to hear the final product."
The album will feature many collaborations with Common, Black Thought, Styles of Beyond, John Legend, Kenna and newly signed Machine Shop artists Styles of Beyond and Holly Brook all expected to feature.
This album is scheduled for release on 22nd November and is likely to follow on from the success of Linkin Park's previous album, Collision Course again involving Jay-Z. Incidently, Linkin Park's new album is expected out late spring of next year.
