38 year old singer, Nate Dogg, was sentenced to probation for three years on March 25th after he pleaded guilty to an incident back in 2006. The incident was fuelled by an ex-girlfriend's domestic violence complaints. The lengthy charge list consisted of misdemeanour aggravated trespass, battery, telephone harassment, dissuading a witness from reporting a crime and violating a restraining order when he broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend and his mother. According to various reports, Nate Dogg broke into their home, punched his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in the face and swiftly left.
According to TMZ, Nate is also expected to attend a batterers' treatment program and will also not be permitted to own a weapon for ten years. Nate has been recovering from a stroke he had at Christmas 2007, which has been suggested has left him paralyzed on his entire left side.
"Time will tell everything, obviously," Nate's rep, Rod McGrew, told MTV in January. "The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be. But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now."
