New Xm Special Hip Hop At The Crossroads

Premiering Thursday, May 24 at 6pm ET on XM's "The Rhyme" (XM 65), "HIP-HOP - AT THE CROSSROADS" features a diverse panel of hip-hop industry artists, producers and activists, including Doug E. Fresh, Russell Simmons, Talib Kweli, MC Lyte, producer Chucky Thompson and the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network's Dr. Benjamin Chavis, among others, who discuss and examine the music of hip hop in connection with the recent news headlines and its evolution from the streets to the mainstream. The discussion was hosted by XM's Leo G., program director of "The Rhyme" and "Raw" (XM 66), and VH1's Janell Snowden.



Encore broadcasts of "HIP-HOPů AT THE CROSSROADS" will air Saturday, May 26 at 1pm ET, Sunday, May 27 at 9pm ET and Tuesday, May 29 at 6pm ET. Non-XM subscribers can also listen to the special through a free, three-day trial of XM's online Internet streaming service, XM Radio Online (http://xmro.xmradio.com).
