Posted on November 16, 2005
West up. It's finally here! Young Hootie is officially releasing the long awaited "Prince of the Bity" for all you die hard West Coast fans. The 27-track experience is a follow up to his debut mixtape Young Compton , and is a step above the already high standard he set for himself and his fans. Touching on topics ranging from his life in Compton to his experiences in the industry, as well as a track letting females know they gotta "Pay a fee" to chill with him, the Prince of the Bity is a great CD. We caught up with Hootie to talk to him about the Prince of the Bity, Young Compton, his experience working with us here at WestCoastRydaz and more. Here's what he had to say:
"I was very pleased with the success of Young Compton. It was my first industry look and it could've went either way, but by the grace of God it was received by street niggas and industry heads," Hootie said. " WCRydaz has been great to me since day one. I came into the game as a young nigga from Compton with little to no buzz and off the strength of the music WCR fucked with me and I really appreciate that. Since then I've been interactive with the site and its done nothing but help to fuel my movement."
He let us know that he plans for the Prince of the Bity to do real well, and has a few words for fans and haters.
"I want everybody to enjoy the Prince. It's a step up from the mixtape classic Young Compton. To all my fans I'ma make this shit crack for ya'll and to all the haters, I love ya'll too. It wouldn't be right without ya'll...Bigger and Better," Hootie said. "Nov. 15 marks the day we're gonna shut WCR down temporarily because of high traffic! Even after my debut album goes multi, I'm still gonna take the time to holla at my fans and give bars to the haters on WCR!!! It's all love with this site homie."
